On Sunday, February 26, we begin a new six-week class entitled Battered Love: God and the Imagery of Sexual Violence in Scripture. We will read Renita Weems’ book, Battered Love: Marriage, Sex, and Violence in the Hebrew Prophets and imagine ways we can respond creatively through art to counter the negative affects of such imagery. The class will culminate in a weekend art workshop and a final Sunday morning class to process what we have created.
